Digital Camera

A high-resolution imaging system designed for low energy radiation imaging (X-rays, electron and UV). The system consist of a high-resolution CCD digital CRYCAM camera and a thin YAG:Ce or LuAG:Ce single crystal scintillating screen.

1. Micro-Optical system

2. Imaging system for 10 microns resolution

  • Imaging area: according the CCD size and optics
  • Optical tube with motorized focus adjusting
  • Reflecting optics (to avoid direct exposing of camera to X-ray radiation)

  • Scintillator: e.g.YAG:Ce screen, both sides polished,
  • size dia. 50 x 0.1 mm

Comparing the results with images taken by using standard powder phosphor imaging screens it can be seen that the resolution of YAG:Ce (LuAG:Ce) thin screens is very high.
