Standard Detectors
Standard detectors usually have the shape of cylindrical plates. Typically, diameters range from 2 mm up to 50 mm and thickness from 0.1 to 5 mm.
A variety of other shapes and sizes, including prisms, spheres and thin plates can be made. An optional (one) face, both faces, or all surfaces can be polished.
A thin aluminum, carbon or ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) entrance window can be made as an optional extra. An optional Zr layers can be applied on the entrance window for EUV radiation. Also see Optional extras.
These detectors are intended to be used for the detection of electrons, X-ray, gamma, UV and EUV radiation.
