Imaging Screens
YAG:Ce, LuAG:Ce and YAP:Ce imaging screens are made from selected crystal materials and are tested for optical homogeneity.
Optional Al, carbon or ITO conductive coatings, an optional AR coating and an optional grid or marks can be made on request, also see Optional Extras.
- Standard Imaging Screens
Dimensions are in the range of diameters of up to 50 mm and thickness typically from 0.5 mm to 0.1 mm. These screens are intended for use in imaging in X-ray, electrons, UV and EUV radiation. Optional coatings and marks can be made, also see Optional Extras. - Very Thin Screens On Substrate
Very thin YAG:Ce screens down to thickness 0.005 mm are optically coupled to a fiber optic, glass or quartz glass base. Available dimensions are as follows: - Very Thin Freestanding Screens
Crytur Ltd. has newly developed and supplies very thin freestanding YAG:Ce screens. These screens have thicknesses down to 0.050 - 0.030 mm depending on the scintillation material and diameter. Available dimensions are as follows:YAG:Ce: for thickness 0.050 mm up to diameter of 50 mm; for thickness 0.025 mm up to diameter 10 mm.
YAP:Ce: for thickness 0.10 mm up to diameter 50 mm; for thickness 0.050 mm up to diameter 10 mm.
These screens are freestanding, i.e. they are not glued to any base (i.e. glass or FOP). Products of this size and thickness are very fragile and sensitive to manipulation. As an optional solution, safety and manipulation can be significantly enhanced by gluing a frame to the border of the screen. This frame is made of Al metal and is typically 2 mm wide and 2 mm high. Optional steel or Al2O3-based ceramics can be used for the frame. For optional coatings and marks also see Optional Extras.
for thickness 0.010 mm up to diameter 40 mm; for thickness 0.005 mm up to diameter 25 mm.
Very thin screens on a base are produced for electron, X-ray or UV imaging. For optional coatings and marks also see Optional Extras.
