Gamma Ray Detection Units
The detection unit consists of a scintillation crystal optically coupled to a photomultiplier tube (PMT). The crystal and PMT are mounted into a light-tight housing making a simple plug-in unit. The PMT is shielded from external magnetic field by MU metal shielding.
Scintillation materials:
- BGO – for high detection efficiency
- YAP:Ce – for fast or high count rate measurements
Dimensions of detection crystal: Diameter 50.

High voltage polarity: positive
On request, different dimensions or modifications can be designed.
